FIFA 13 PS3 Demo "Rolling Out Now" According To EA Sports

Still no sign of the PS3 FIFA 13 demo, but a positive update from EA Sports.

PS3 owning FIFA fans will have woken up this morning excited to be finally able to download the demo of this year's addition to the football gaming franchise, and could have been forgiven for being confused that the demo still wasn't showing up on the PS Store, despite EA Sports' information that it would be released between 10pm and 2am last night. And now, some 7 hours after the supposed release window closed, UK gamers are still waiting for the demo to appear, despite the fact that the FIFA 13 €˜Soccer€™ demo is rather infuriatingly available on the US PS Store (after a search), and thus not available to UK players. Having been inundated with angry responses EA Sports have been very careful to deflect blame away from themselves, this morning, as they did yesterday when they initially announced news of the delayed release time for the PS3... There is however some good news on the horizon - as despite Twitter still being awash with PS3 owners bemoaning the lack of FIFA 13 demo in their PS Stores in the UK - EA Sports have apparently been told in the past hour or so that the demo is "rolling out" now... So who is to blame for this fiasco? Well, as EA Sports have clearly stated for the past day or so, they have no control over the actual release of the demo, which falls under the control of third party suppliers - or in other words the PS Store - and as soon as the publishers were given an expected release schedule it was only their responsibility to pass on that information to consumers. The blame, therefore, would appear to lie with Sony, who missed their own deadline for posting the demo to the store (perhaps because they were more concerned with rolling out the latest update that landed this morning as well) - so that's where fans should vent their frustrations, rather than at EA Sports.
