FIFA 13 vs PES 2013: 9 Reasons FIFA Will Win The War

2. The Realism

For most of the past few years, the PES team have been attempting to make ground up on FIFA, with their misguided previous attempts focusing predominantly on EA Sports' eye for realism, to the cost of the gameplay experience of the game. In short, the franchise abandoned its roots and lost its way somewhat: but that has changed this year with a healthier balance between realistic play and entertainment. But it is still FIFA 13 which captures the essence of playing football the best: the new control system adds autheticity, and the balance between attacking play and defensive ability is a lot better than it was last year, when players could use contain to repel the attacks of even the best players, encouraging an all-conquering one-two passing game that got very frustrating. Added to that, the likenesses and the slickness of celebration animations, and FIFA 13 looks and feels like the most realistic football game that has ever been released.
