FIFA 14: 10 Over-Rated Players Who Need Downgrading In January Updates

6. Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg) - 85 (Inform)

A few seasons ago no one was singing the praises of Hulk louder than me. I would ramble on about his ridiculously explosive pace, ox-like strength and howitzer of a left boot. In 2013/2014 I am forced to retract these statements: Hulk's decision to follow the more lucrative contract rather than seeking to play at the highest level has definitely damaged his stock. Despite scoring a reasonable amount for Zenit, with all due respect the standard of football in the Russian Premier league isn't as high as other European leagues. In the Champions League games where they faced harder competition Zenit had some embarrassing results including a 4-1 loss to Austria Vienna. Hulk has also had personal issues with the management which has even lead to arguments erupting on the pitch. Whilst it would be silly to say Hulk's career is done at this stage, giving him an 84-rating (and 85 inform) to put him level with his countryman Neymar is ridiculous.
