Robin van Persie was (cruelly, in our view) overlooked last season for the PFA Player of the Year Award as Gareth Bale scooped the honour, and suffered another snub last month when the Wales international was picked as the FIFA 14 cover star. Van Persie signed for United from Arsenal last summer and inspired the Red Devil's to their 20th Premier League crown, becoming the division's top-scorer for the season in the process. There are many who believe the Dutchman should have won the PFA Player of the Year Award and more further still who wanted to see him on the front-cover of FIFA 14. And fans of the 30-year-old forward could still have their wish granted should Bale be replaced by EA. RVP would become the first Netherlands international to feature on the front-cover of a FIFA title since Edgar Davids in 2003.
