3. Scoring Free Kicks
As long as FIFA has been around, everyone has craved to score the perfect free kick. With the likes of Bale, Ronaldo and Pirlo taking a sweet free kick at the moment, I'm sure FIFA 14 won't be any different. A favourite free kick of mine is the Ronaldo up and down technique. You can achieve this if you move your left stick up when striking the ball; the amount of power you need to put on the ball obviously varies with distance. For instance, kicks that are 18-30 yards from goal need 1.5 to 2.5 bars. Another type of free kick you could try is the low drilled free kick, which is where you press LB/L1 when you shoot, for a drilled shot that sometimes catches the keepers out. This isn't as successful, but sometimes you can pounce on a lucky rebound off the keeper.
