7. PES Isn't On Next Gen Consoles

With EA preparing to launch the FIFA franchise onto the next generation of consoles this year - the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Konami are keeping PES on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PES
will not be making an appearance on the next generation of machines over concerns that not enough consumers will migrate from the old to the new systems. This gives EA the perfect opportunity to leave its rival behind this year as they take FIFA to the next level, as well as placating "old-generation" system users by releasing the title on the PS3 and Xbox 360 also. Not only is FIFA 14 going to be a graphically superior game due to the capabilities afforded to EA by the PS4, but the publishers also stand to make a heck of a load more money than their rivals considering they're marketing to a variety of different console users. FIFA 14 on the next generation of platforms looks incredible. With its brand new game engine, Ignite, gameplay is going to be leaps and bounds better than it has been in the past due to improved collision detection, more realistic shooting, and, as mentioned, more authentic stadia and graphics.
