FIFA 15: 10 New Things You Can Do

8. Utilise Deep Tactics

The implementation of tactics in previous instalments of the FIFA franchise was clumsy to say the least. Very much the reserve of hardcore FIFA gamers, utilising tactics demanded that you trawled through multiple sub-menus and stacked lists of names before eventually making the adjustments you wanted. In FIFA 15, not only do the updated substitutes/tactics menus look significantly cleaner but they are also far more intuitive to use. Changing your captain or preferred free-kick taker is now just a few simple clicks away and amending a formation is as simple as dragging a player across the pitch diagram. The improved tactics don€™t stop at the pre-game and half-time screens. The tactical changes you can make on the fly have also been overhauled. Chelsea€™s €˜Park The Bus€™ style for those players who like to nick an early goal and hang on for dear life has been added as well as an €˜All Out Attack€™ option. Some intriguing tactical options for corners have also been added, allowing you to tell players to make a near-post run or crowd the keeper. Giving power to the player in this way should mean that corners are no longer the hit-and-hope affairs of FIFA 14.
