We come to the final Barcelona player on our list now, Lionel Messi. As the world's undisputed second best player at present, it will come of very little surprise to learn that Messi is the joint-highest rated player on FIFA 15, according to the recent leaks, at least. The legendary No.10 enjoyed another fine campaign last season, bagging himself 28 La Liga goals, and his return of two strikes from just one game so far this term suggests he's set for another remarkable run of form. However, he endured something of an underwhelming World Cup campaign with Argentina, despite helping them to the final, and it is perhaps for that reason why the South American star has only retained his rating of 94 from 12 months ago. You may argue he deserves to be higher but his goal-scoring return at club level last season was nowhere near as impressive as the 46 and 50 he managed in the two La Liga campaigns prior. Nevertheless, Messi is still one of the greatest players on the planet today and as such his rating cannot really be questioned too much. He lost out on the Ballon d'Or to Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo last year, but has still done enough to finish as the joint-highest-rated player alongside CR7 on '15.
