At 23, ter Stegen is the oldest player to feature on the list and is at the very top end of what even a goalkeeper can be considered a 'wonderkid'.

He is an impressive young player though. During the 2014/15 season he shared the no.1 spot with the experienced Bravo where he made a mixed impression with the notoriously fickle Catalan crowd. A few errors led to some less than favourable comments made about the youngster but there were equally some very impressive saves and he showed a natural talent for shot stopping. As he progresses with age he will likely develop a more rounded game and grow into commanding his defence.

He will almost certainly be an expensive acquisition for the bigger clubs in the game, but he will almost certainly be a worthwhile one.
