Instead of throwing money at random packs, it would be great for EA to finally harness the power of trading cards. Ultimate Team is essentially football trading cards with the added bonus that they can come to life and play on the screen. The auction system is the lifeblood of Ultimate Team, but a 'Swap Shop' style section could be fantastic. You could effectively advertise your players in exchange for others, with detailed search filters able to find a good trade for you. How that would affect the prices of auctions would have to be monitored, or trades could even be limited, but the feature is rarely used and could be an excellent way to make the most of your fringe players if they're surplus to requirements.
