FIFA 16: 16 Ways To Improve Ultimate Team Next Year
3. Achievements
FIFA's Virtual Pro mode gets a lot wrong but if there's one thing Ultimate Team can learn from it, it's the Achievements system. Your created player is rewarded with attributes when he meets simple targets, like scoring goals, making assists or keeping clean sheets. If you took that system and put it in Ultimate Team, you'd have a different feel to the game. For example, scoring a free kick could grant you a 200 coin bonus, while keeping a clean sheet would give you 500. Keep two clean sheets in a row and the reward will double, and so on and so on. It'd be a clever way of rewarding fans for actually playing the game, rather than using it simply to trade and build your bank balance. The system could work with any online game mode to stop friends getting together and gaining achievements to get easy coins. The possibilities are endless and if EA sat down and thought up a whole bank of achievements, it might give Ultimate Team players more incentive to just play some football.
