Ever since FIFA 11 players have been able to play through entire seasons of the Career Mode controlling just the goalkeeper as well as being able to control them in the 11 v 11 online mode. At the time this new addition was very exciting, offering gamers the chance to play the game from an entirely new perspective. Now five years on, with FIFA 16 about to come out, you have to wonder why this feature is still hanging around. In my experience of the 11 v 11 online matches the only people who ever willingly choose to play as a goalkeeper tend to be trolls who just run about the pitch leaving the goal unprotected until they are kicked from the match. In terms of the Player Career mode, is there seriously anyone out there looking forward to playing through 15 seasons of a career as a goalkeeper? Frankly I cant think of anything more boring to do in the game.
