9. Slower Movement

The pace of the game feels more steady. Going back to old FIFA games makes you wonder how you could ever love them when every player is a human roadrunner regardless of their stats. Players were supercharged, and it made the game feel unrealistic and unbalanced. Now it feels like more of a tactical duel, and while it's still possible to break away at high speed, there's a lot more to consider, and less chance of being able to blaze through a defence with a trundling defender.
