At one stage Reid looked as though he'd be making the short trip across London from East to North to join Arsenal, he subsequently signed a 6 year contract at West Ham. Reid has been West Ham's highest rated CB for a couple of years now and with interest from the likes of Arsenal, there were many West Ham fans overjoyed with the news that he was staying. Like Collins, Reid has better statistics than all of the similarly rated players around him but Collins' was still the best performer. He gives more fouls away than is necessary but can bring the ball out of defence more capably than the Welsh international, I can't see his rating changing too much after a relatively uneventful season for the Kiwi.
