Unlike the three big clubs already mentioned, Middlesbrough are on the other end of the spectrum. The newly promoted club's current squad leaves a lot to be desired, as survival will be the main priority for your first few seasons in charge.

Assuming you manage to avoid relegation and are able to set a solid foundation by bringing in quality players with high potentials, it'll still be a while before you see any silverware. Although it won't be easy, Middlesbrough aren't the most challenging club in the division to manage, which is why they are ranked so low.

The current squad lacks pace, strength and skills, with only 3 players having more than 80 pace, 3 players having more than 80 strength and one player with 4* skill moves.

Middlesbrough do have 5 players 25 years or under expected to reach a potential of 80 or above, but unfortunately one of them (Calum Chambers) is on loan from Arsenal. If you're in it for the long haul and play a slow, possession based game and don't do skill moves, then Middlesbrough could be a good fit for you.
