FIFA 18: 10 Improvements We Want To See In Career Mode

8. Improve The Press Conferences

Pep Guardiola Champions League

Real-life football constantly highlights just how crucial press conferences are. It's usually easy to spot which managers feel under pressure before the big games and that needs to be a bigger part of FIFA overall. If Football Manager has this down to a fine art by now, so should EA Sports.

It's wishful thinking in FIFA 17 to expect any press conference to have an effect. Talk up your star striker and the pep talk doesn't help them sparkle on the pitch as much as it should, and neither does trying to 'unnerve' the opposition.

Right now, all that really happens is gamers hear a quick line or two from Martin Tyler and Alan Smith about what has been said to the media. That's not enough. Press conferences deserve more attention, because they have become such an important part of the modern game.

What's said before title-deciding matches or big Champions League battles should have a greater impact. We want to moan at the media like Jose Mourinho and even walk out if we don't like the line of questioning.
