FIFA 18: 10 Improvements We Want To See In Career Mode
9. Further Development Of Your Manager's Avatar
A whopping (sense the sarcasm) eleven different avatars were available for selection when starting out as a new manager in FIFA 17's Career Mode. In the mix of generic managers were those who looked eerily like Alan Pardew, Arsène Wenger and even Clarence Seedorf.
That was a nice touch, but FIFA 18 needs much more customisation in order to feel truly personal. Even PES offers a bit more freedom than this, and that's something EA have to change in time for the next game.
Offering only a handful of preset choices isn't enough for those who want to make a digital version of themselves and take their chosen team to the title. If EA aren't prepared to just copy the totally fine 'Create-A-Player' suite over into the 'Manager Preferences' tab, then they should at least be giving a few more options for those players who don't fit any of the default managers available in last year's game.
