FIFA 19: 8 Surprises From The Top 100 Players

1. Messi & Ronaldo Have The Same Rating

Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo regained the cover star crown from Dortmund's Marco Reus, and he was logically named the best player in FIFA 18. One full point above Lionel Messi (Ronaldo had 94 to the Barca man's 93), CR7 stood out on his own as the world's greatest.

This year, he's sharing the throne.

Messi has been elevated back into contention, and stats between he and Ron are remarkably tight. Both superstars have an overall rating of 94, and Messi actually has some better skills than his old La Liga rival. His Dribbling is six points better off, and his Passing seven. On the flip side, Ronaldo has the advantage when it comes to Pace, Shooting, Defending and Physical attributes.

Before the Top 10 was revealed, it was expected that Ronaldo would continue his march towards isolation at the top of the charts. Another (smaller) surprise comes from the fact that he and Messi are now two points ahead of PSG's main man Neymar. The little Brazilian won't like that one bit.
