FIFA 19 Beta: 5 Major Problems That Need Fixing
1. Passing
The biggest problem that needs addressing ahead of FIFA 19's September release is unquestionably the issue of passing, and more specifically passing accuracy.
Some of my colleagues may argue that my ability to pass a ball has always been dodgy, but the new FIFA not only exacerbates my lack of skill, but makes those who had it down to a fine art form in FIFA 18 look useless on the new game.
Whether this is due to a tweaking of the passing feature's sensitivity or a clash between 'smart passing' and the improvements in defending (which are great), but far too often the simplest of balls did not reach their intended target or possession was simply given away due to the game aiding players in defence far more than those looking to receive the ball.
Granted, the 'pinged passing' of last year has thankfully been decreased but the reduction in quality of passes, especially at the highest level, combined with the aforementioned heavy touches will frustrate many gamers when they first get to grips with the new game.
All in all, FIFA 19 is unquestionably an improvement on last year's edition. But EA need to fix these problems before September 28th to make sure their release doesn't feel like an anticlimax.
