"We are listening to our fans. They've been requesting more stuff, bigger stuff, in terms of Career Mode and in Pro Clubs. There are discussions right now to see what can be added in the future, and we know it's a very passionate community. At the moment, that's all we're announcing for those modes. We are actively having conversations, and listening to the community to see what else we can bring to those modes."

Those were the words of EA Producer Sam Rivera when pressed by Gamespot on changes to FIFA 19's Career Mode. After excitedly hyping the Champions League integration, he outright admitted that hey, EA could have done more with Career and they hope to in the future.

Does this suggest that FIFA 20 will finally be the year that Career Mode gets the total overhaul fans have been waiting on? Perhaps, and it's long overdue. If nothing else, it's good to know that bigwigs at EA are aware they need to start offering fans some bigger changes at some point.

Ultimate Team is the cash cow, absolutely, and nobody should pretend any different. It's unacceptable for EA to ignore their main offline single-player mode however, and that's something they were doing up until FIFA 18's raft of tweaks.
