FIFA 19 Wishlist: 10 Things The Fans Demand

5. Dynamic Weather Patterns

The rain and snowy effects look glorious in the Frostbite-powered FIFA 18, but EA Sports should be putting them to better use. Driving games have had dynamic weather conditions for years, and they would be even more impactful in a football sim.

Imagine if the heavens suddenly opened and turned the bone-dry pitch into a slippery surface. Players might even be forced to adjust their tactics, since getting stuck in while it's bucketing down is more likely to result in a mis-timed challenge.

Rain, hail and snow also have a tendency to up the number of unforced errors and make long shots more dangerous by putting keepers at a disadvantage, factors that have the potential to tip the balance in the favour of lesser skilled players.

Dynamic weather would add another variable to matches, an unexpected twist that could occur at any time, as well as make FIFA 19 more realistic than its competitors.
