2. FIFA Street Mode
The FIFA Street series championed winning in system, pitting players against one another in urban five-aside contents where skills and flare come to the fore. Although these games were popular, EA hasn't made a new one in over five years.
While FIFA 18's The Journey gave a hat-tip to the series early into the latest chapter of Alex Hunter's story, it felt tacked on and underdeveloped, as refreshing as it was to see EA acknowledge the fans' hunger for a return to the streets.
There's no firm evidence that the studio is plotting an all-new FIFA Street instalment, and that might not be such a bad thing, because they could instead incorporate it into FIFA 19 as a fully-fledged gameplay mode, available both on and offline.
Street Mode could be a flagship feature for FIFA 19, and it would be relatively easy to implement, simply requiring EA to create a handful of urban arenas, training kits and a few other bells and whistles, along with allocating server power to dedicated lobbies.
