FIFA 21: 10 Improvements To Career Mode We Want To See
7. Increase The Career Mode Length
One of the most restrictive things about FIFAs career mode is undoubtedly the length it lasts. While a 15-year span is about the life cycle for a footballer if they're lucky these days, it doesn't leave the player nearly long enough to build a dynasty at a club.
Once again, this seemingly arbitrary number has been in the game for years, and serves no purpose but to hold the player back right when they have started to develop a legacy at a team. One of the reasons longer tenures have not been added to the game is to avoid the game having to develop a database of players almost entirely consisting of regens, but computer players have proven that this restriction can be circumvented with only some basic modifications to the game.
There's nothing worse than being on the cusp of becoming a club legend with a new crop of hot prospects ready to take over the footballing world then having to abruptly stop because you happened to have run out of time. EA could vastly improve the career mode experience by giving more time to flesh out their managerial philosophies and earn legendary status on the pitch.
