8. Reintroduce The Visual Sim
One of the things that has always made FIFA manager mode better than traditional Football managing simulators is the ability to have a real effect on the pitch, and play as the team that you have spent so many hours meticulously building.
The problem is, that's not really what a manager is supposed to do. So while it's nice to be able to play a must-win game to ensure that you qualify for Europe, the only alternative is to do a quick sim that really doesn't feel like you have any effect on the game whatsoever.
The worst part about this is for years FIFA had the perfect solution to this, in the form of the visual sim.
The visual sim allowed you to watch the events of the match unfold before your eyes, as your tactical decisions played out on the screen. Then, if things started to get ugly, you could choose to jump in and play the remainder of the match and steal a last-minute winner.
