Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Every Confirmed & Leaked Detail We Know
13. Exclusive DLC Pre-Order Bonus Summons
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is already being spread across multiple episodes, so clearly - in keeping with their industry cohorts - Square Enix are more than happy to milk this once-in-a-generation nostalgia cow as much as possible.
Inevitably, in addition to the bog-standard copy which simply contains nothing more than the poxy game (or at least, a part of it), Square Enix have announced a Deluxe version boasting all the usual bells and whistles: a hardcover art book, a soundtrack selection, and a pointless steelbook. This bounty will set eager fans back $79.99.
But the largess doesn't end there. For Final Fantasy VII fanatics with even greater fervour - and bank balances - there's the super lavish, frankly decadent '1st Class Edition' - a panoply of plunder with a slightly hokey name.
An eye-wateringly, ball-bleedingly steep $330 will net you all the same tat as the Deluxe version, plus a "meticulously sculpted" figurine of Cloud Strife abreast his Hardy-Daytona (we should point out that's a motorbike, not a person).
Outside the paradise of plastic littering both boxes, perhaps the best thing about these games for rich folk are the pre-order DLC summon materia. Series regulars Carbuncle and Cactuar are both included, as well as a Chocobo Chick with a hairstyle to shame even Cloud Strife. Worth it?
