The previous point said, I completed my Hard game run right after finishing on Normal. I didn't have both Elemental materias, and I didn't have the Gotterdammerung.

It is because of this, that I advise you to succeed where I failed, and be better prepared.

Regardless, some key tips for fighting Sephiroth at the very end of the game:

- You can Punisher counter Telluric Fury, and roll to the side of Aeolian Onslaught. Use Focused Strike to knock him out of a Firaga summon, and Blizzaga you can absorb with Elemental materia, otherwise it's VERY hard to avoid.

- Give Aerith First Strike materia so she can immediately respond when joining the fight. Same goes for Tifa if you have another.

- Sephiroth attacks who you're playing as 95% of the time. If you want to heal up or cast without being interrupted, switch to someone else and use L2/R2 to tell the first character what to do.

- Elemental+Fire on Cloud's armour was what won the day. I literally fought Sephiroth inside his Fire Wall spell, countering as I went. I went into the fourth stage with Cloud's Limit ready to deploy. Sephiroth's elemental attacks change on which "Infusion" is active, but I found fire to be the most common alongside ice, and specced accordingly.

- Save your summons, level 3 spells and any built-up Limit Breaks for the fourth stage, too. You'll need to go hell for leather to knock him out before Meteor reaches the ground.
