Final Fantasy VII Remake: Every Easter Egg & Reference You Probably Missed

18. Barret Randomly Hums The Classic Fanfare

If you were worried that the original game's unforgettable earworm of a victory fanfare wouldn't be making it into the remake, fear not, because in addition to playing after winning battles at the Wall Market Colosseum, it makes the most brilliant (and random) of returns during general combat.

Periodically, Barret will hum - or grunt, perhaps - the iconic tune, though it's certainly easily missed during the heat of battle.

The sheer act of humming the FFVII fanfare itself is surely a callback to Final Fantasy XV, where Prompto would occasionally do very much the same.

Fingers crossed this just became a thing for all future Final Fantasy games, because it's awesome.
