Final Fantasy XV: 10 Essential Tips & Tricks You Need To Know

3. Indulge In The Nostalgia

Square Enix are fully aware not only of the loveable characters and magnificent lore they have moulded over the years, but also of how long Final Fantasy XV was in development. To make up for it, Final Fantasy XV is packed full of homages to its predecessors.

As previously mentioned, the first instance of familiarity comes in the form of a small, rather cute Carbuncle overseeing your tutorials. There are other mentions of familiar characters to come, as well as the introduction of mechanic Cid, whose name travels from game to game as a new character each time.

Yet, the real nostalgia doesn't hit until you buy one or two albums from the frequent shops and garages to play in your car. The game is stocked with the soundtracks of previous Final Fantasy games, as well as other Final Fantasy related movies and media.

Roaming the wilderness and battling monsters is orchestrated by XV's own dramatic and memorable musical moments, but there's nothing like a slow drive down to a moonlit beach with the harps of the original Final Fantasy prelude playing on the radio.
