Football Manager 2014: 12 New Features To Be Excited About

1. You Now Have Job Interviews

Job Interview This is something I wish they€™d included for a long time, because it€™s a necessary part of being a football manager. All of us will occasionally fail, and for the few saint-like individuals won€™t immediately ragequit when they€™ve lost their seventh game on the bounce and the chairman changes the key to the stadium, Sports Interactive have bequeathed a new addition €“ the job interview. So it seems that gone are the days when you have to apply and hope, not knowing whether your application will be greeted with scorn, praise, or just laughed out the room (for god€™s sake Madrid, I€™d won a Premier League and an FA Cup €“ I deserved better than that). You can actually turn up to an interview and have the board grill you on strategy and your footballing philosophy, discerning whether you're an urbane Pep Guardiola or a baseball-capped Tony Pulis in approach. Whether or not this will just devolve into the hyperbole-fest that characterise press conferences when you give up caring (€˜of course we, Oldham Athletic, will stuff Manchester United in the FA Cup! We couldn€™t have had an easier pick!') remains to be seen, but hopefully Sports Interactive will have their head on a swivel. So that's everything. What do you think of these new additions? As always, comment below!
