9. Scouting's Made Easier
Im a big fan of the scouting system in fact Id say its my favourite part of the FM experience. Being able to cast a wide enough net over the world to the extent that you know when the next Ferenc Puskas is going to sneeze is always the challenge I love to take on in this most glorious of spreadsheets. In fact, Im fairly confident its the same for a lot of people, who appear to live for taking a five-star player out of the Colombian conference and have him score the winning goal in the Champions League final. It appears that Sports Interactive know that were all transfer anoraks at heart, so have resolved to make it even easier for us to prowl around the lesser-known places of the world with a notepad and a chequebook by giving the scouts further pride of place on your news screen. To go into more detail, this means that whenever your chief scout recommends a player or wants to recommend the outstanding candidates from his searches, you are now confronted with their star-rating earlier on, saving you the disappointment of clicking on him and finding out hes a decent player and nothing else. Again, its the little things that count, and anything that saves me time and disappointment is a winner in my book.
