Football Manager 2014: 12 New Features To Be Excited About

6. Transfer Deadline Day Isn't Rubbish

Transfer Deadline To many, the transfer deadline day addition was something of a tiresome novelty in FM 13, Yes, it was cool the first time, but after a while you€™ve already done your business and fielded the umpteenth media question, you just want it to end. Well now, it appears that Sports Interactive have taken lessons from last year€™s incarnation and smartened up the most hectic day on the footballing calendar. Basically, what will happen now is that there will be a dedicated screen segregating rumours, breaking news and done deals, meaning you can navigate your way through the carnage with the ease of Jim White on valium. Hopefully, this means it will be less of a grind to play through, and more of the tense experience we know it to be in real life, full of twists, turns and Harry Redknapp offering you a sack of potatoes for your next up-and-comer. However, we can€™t confirm if there will be an option to strand Peter Odemwingie in a car park, which is a crying shame.
