Football Manager 2014: 5 Challenging Teams You Must Consider Managing

3. Coventry €“ Sky Bet League 1

Screen Shot 2013 11 05 At 16 10 52Transfer Budget: £0 Wage Budget Available: £-9.22k The Good: Very little. A pretty solid spine to the team with Joe Murphy in net, Jordan Willis at centre half, John Fleck in midfield and Leon Clarke up top, but multiple gaps to fill around them. The Bad: Everything else. The club is in administration, the stadium isn€™t theirs, a tiny squad to play with. Oh, and you begin on minus ten points. Joy. Advice: It€™s a huge ask to do anything of note with Coventry, but as they are proving in real life, it can be done as they sit three points off the play offs after fifteen games. Try to sign loanees for no wages if possible, or unattached players with something still to offer. That is if the administrators will allow it, of course. Best Suited To: The Believer €“ A manager who puts his heart and soul into a club because he genuinely feels he can lift them out of turmoil, and can handle the boardroom request rejections on a regular basis. Must be willing to make do with what he€™s got rather than relying on fresh faces to instill hope into the club.
