Football Manager 2014 Handheld: 12 Essential Signings You Must Make

1. Papiss Cisse

Papiss CisseClub: Newcastle United Price: £25m A genuine goal-scorer, despite his contrastingly poor run of form in real life, Cisse's price tag might look enormous, but it could be £50m and he would still be the first recommendation on this list, because of how many he scores. Incredibly in 44 games for Newcastle in the first season, the Senegalese hitman scored 38 times, with 8 assists from a 7.64 rating, and his form doesn't fade for the first few years, though you're likely to face a battle to buy him even if you have the necessary money. If you're Newcastle, hang on to Cisse for at least the first season. At the front of a spearhead attack, with the likes of Loic Remy, Hatem Ben Arfa and a new winger in support (the smart suggestion would be Tom Ince,) Cisse is a beast of a striker, scoring multiple goals in multiple games, and largely avoiding disciplinary issues or injuries. He's a good shout for the best player in the game in the first couple of seasons, and will help fire you to European success.
