Football Manager 2015: 12 Players Who Will Definitely Be Over-rated

10. Enner Valencia - West Ham

Warranting a fee in the region of £15 million to join West Ham this summer, Enner Valencia is perhaps one of the riskier transfers we have seen in the current window, and could well join the list of players unfairly over-valued in the wake of a major tournament. Free-scoring in the colours of Pachuca, while contributing to Ecuador's World Cup performance in vain with three goals, the 24-year-old clearly did enough to convince Sam Allardyce to take a gamble on shelling out for him. Perhaps because of the presence of perennial crock Andy Carroll, any striker was bound to cost a premium, but £15m for a striker who has no Premier League experience is a big figure. He has all of the attributes to be a real handful in the Premier League, but undoubtedly his exposure on the international stage will lead to huge inflation in the striker's attributes. His off-the-ball and finishing statistics are bound to increase massively, but in reality Valencia could really struggle to hit the ground running for his new club.
