Football Manager 2016: 10 Ways To Make It More Realistic

1. Sky Sports-Style Match Coverage

This idea is probably the most far-fetched on the list, and one that we won't be seeing anytime soon in Football Manager, even though it would greatly boost the realism throughout the game. FIFA have implemented real-life Sky Sports stylings, commentators and logos to make the game seem believable. If SI could wrangle a deal to see a similar translation to the Football Manager franchise, fans would be treated to a whole new level of immersion. Recreating Jeff Stelling & Co. would be a step too far, but laying the Sky graphics over a Football Manager match could be a fantastic move. It would increase the realistic feel of the game and be a functional way to keep track of the revolving football world. More tie-ins to real companies, broadcasters, sponsors and organisations can only mean a great sense of depth within the game, and although Football Manager is clearly flying ahead of its lacklustre competitors, it would be nice to see SI really excel themselves in delivering the closest thing to a real life touchline fans are ever going to get, all from the comfort of their own homes.
