In order to truly believe the stories that we hear from Football Manager obsessives there needs to be a process that eliminates the chance of turning the game off without saving it. Far too often gamers take Gateshead from the Conference Premier Division to the Champions League final and it just doesn't read right. Imagine an FM world without the question "did you turn it off after you lost though?" - it would be brilliant. Now if the game automatically autosaved at the end of every fixture it would give potential cheaters a lot less of a chance of rebooting as they would have to gamble before the final whistle.
