Football Manager 2017: 20 Best Assistant Managers

4. Pat Rice

Football Manager 2017
SI Games

Age: 67.

Club: Arsenal.

Key Stats: 18 Motivating, 17 Judging Player Ability, 16 Man Management.

Perhaps the most notable Assistant Manager in Premier League history, Pat Rice was Arsene Wenger's right hand man for 16 years before transitioning to a scouting role in 2012. He's been out of his old role for a while now, but Rice has barely lost a step: stats-wise, he's still one of the best in the business, and he's a great coach to boot.

Age is catching up with him, however, and Rice usually retires within the game's first few seasons. You'll need to hope Wenger lets go of him earlier if you want to take advantage of his incomparable experience.
