Football Manager 2017: Everything You Need To Know
9. Social Media
Love it or hate it, social media has had a massive impact on football in the last few years: it's inevitable then that it would feature in Football Manager 2017 too.
There's a new Social Tab allowing you to read fans' opinions on matches, news, player movements and rumours. They can also heap pressure on you, react to polls and results and share videos of highlights.
Thankfully, they didn't announce any annoying ITK accounts, so no vindication for KFC workers masquerading as proper pundits just yet, Indy.
This clearly adds a new difficulty element too: as press conferences have been improved with more contextual questions and social media adds more reactions to what you say, you have to be careful to modulate your comments to not upset the club or the fans and avoid undue pressure (or defuse it).
The inbox is getting a revamp too with more features allowing you to react within that screen rather than navigate elsewhere for a more streamlined play experience. The build has more information on key actions (like choosing your club captain) to interrupt your flow.
Bundled in with that, backroom staff are much more integral to how you run your team, which was always a very welcome improvement.
