5. Wolves

At the start of the season, after a flurry of interesting transfer activity thanks to their new, super-rich ownership and talent relationships, Wolves were quickly installed as the favourite of the promoted teams to stay up. They were also unofficially crowned the best team to be promoted to the Premier League.

Their squad is certainly one of the most impressive of any promoted team in league history, but that in itself presents a problem because of issues like team chemistry and harmony. If there's one thing this league proves - and something FM games have already followed - it's that you cannot simply buy a whole squad and expect to instantly do well. QPR have proved that much in the past.
