Out of all the teams in Serie A, the steady improvement in Atalanta has been a surprising, yet extremely interesting watch. After finishing third in the league last season, the Bergamo-based side are in the Champions League for the very first time.

However, this isn't a squad of old professionals or players in their prime. This is a young squad filled with talented players ready to become a consistent force within any FM save. Former Liverpool central defender, Alan Hansen, once famously opined "you can't win anything with kids!" and he was proven wrong. This Atalanta side could add another asterisk to that quote if managed correctly.

While there were plenty of times when the team achieved a decent level of success, they also slid into mediocrity during certain saves. Many of their best players left when they weren't able to maintain positive results, leaving the team a shadow of their former selves.
