Club: AC Milan

Nationality: French

Price: £13 million

Pierre Kalulu is one of those players who offers up the tantalising prospect of huge potential and a relatively modest price tag when you boot up Football Manager 2022.

At the start of FM22, it's pace (16), determination (15), natural fitness (15) and anticipation (15) where this 21-year-old Frenchman shines. In fact, none of his physical stats are below 12, and Kalulu is generally great across the board for his age with everything bar set pieces and shooting - which, for a full-back, aren't exactly essentials.

In terms of the price tag, you should expect to pay around £13 million for this former Lyon prospect. For that, you get an athletic right-back with bags of promise, who can also adequately fit in at centre-back if needed, whilst at a push even being able to fill in at left-back in case of an injury emergency. For those who like to tinker with positions, you can actually train Kalulu up to become a pretty sturdy ball-winning midfield option, too.
