A clear difference between an experienced For Honor player and a beginner is how quickly they try to kick you off a cliff.

One of the most important things to learn early is that using your environment can lead to quick and easy kills. Pressing the guard break button twice in succession will result in a throw, which if used in the right place can kill the enemy without ever having to swing your sword.

Of course, a well-timed swing will also result in the opponent falling from a high area, but the throw guarantees it.
