Forza Horizon 4 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs
Ups...
6. So. Much. Content.
Even in its worst moments, this game is nothing if not ludicrously addictive and jam-packed with content to the point that it actually feels overwhelming at times.
There is always something new popping up, be it a regular exhibition event, story mode chapter, speed trap, stunt, sign, scripted showcase event (even a Halo-themed one!), timed challenge or hidden barn, not to forget 450 vehicles to customise and a gigantic online multiplayer suite. Phew.
Nobody on Earth can justifiably complain that this game is lacking in content out of the box, and players will easily be able to pour dozens of hours into it without exhausting everything it has to offer.
Though it's a shame the interface isn't a little slicker, the variety of the content available ensures there's always something different to give a whirl.
It certainly takes a surprising amount of time to acclimate to the sheer dizzying array of content on offer, but in a world where so many AAA games shamelessly carve content out of the core experience, this really feels like a bargain (especially if you're playing it on Xbox Game Pass).
