Friday The 13th Game Review: 4 Ups & 5 Downs
1. Bugs
Easily the biggest issue with Friday the 13th is just how buggy it is. It's rare that a match goes by without some sort of visual glitch or game-breaking issue which is evidence of how rushed the game feels, which is a real shame considering the innovative premise of the game. Illfonic have really shot themselves in the foot by not dedicating more time to polishing the game before release.
These issues could be attributed to the game's low budget, but it still doesn't excuse a shoddy release. Friday the 13th deserves to run as well as possible at all times, especially considering the huge amount of love that's been put into the game by fans and by the developers.
If any issue absolutely needs to be sorted with Friday the 13th, it's definitely the bugs. So far, they're the biggest killer in Friday the 13th: The Game.
Change the price, polish the game more and add new content and Friday the 13th would suddenly start looking like a pretty decent game. For now? It's not worth your time.
