FRUIT NINJA - Android & iPhone App Game Review

Instead of buying a can of fizzy drink buy Fruit Ninja, it will give you hours of joy and... It's good for you!

Fruit Ninja is a game developed by Halfbrick Studios and the IOS version was last updated on 25th June 2011 and costs 69p/$0.99. There is also an Android version of the same game for 77p and a Fruit Ninja THD which is exclusive for NVIDIA Tegra 2 based Android devices and costs £1.86. It is also Openfient and Game Center compatible. The main selling point of Fruit Ninja to me is the fact that you can take all of your frustration out on your recommended 5-a-day as many of us would like to do. The game has 3 modes of play; ARCADE: (in the trailer above) where you slice as many fruit as possible, whilst avoiding the -10 (points) bombs, with a 60 second time limit. ZEN: where again the main objective is to slice as much fruit as possible but there are no bombs or lives, rack up as many points as you possibly can in 90 seconds. CLASSIC: you get 3 lives (you're allowed to miss 3 fruit) but hit a bomb it's game over I'm afraid. The game has excellent capabilities and is ultra-responsive to the oldest of Android and IOS devices. Also you can unlock new coloured blades and different backgrounds to gain your revenge against that horrible fruit. I would highly recommend this app, it is fun and you can slice away hours at a time. As some of you may know there is also Fruit Ninja Kinect available for 800MSP (£7.00) which I will be reviewing next Thursday, right here on WhatCulture! For now instead of buying a can of fizzy drink buy Fruit Ninja, it will give you hours of joy and... It's good for you!
