Gears of War: Judgement Will Be Brutally Difficult

The developers at People Can Fly and Epic want to make sure that this time, you don't feel quite so powerful against the Locust invasion.

Bulletstorm, People Can Fly, are officially taking over the reigns for Gears of War's newest single player campaign. Judgement is set to be a prequel for the events of Marcus Fenix trilogy. While many speculated it would focus on Fenix's actions leading up to his imprisonment, we have all learned that it will instead focus on the wisecrackin' smartass known as, Baird. People Can Fly is making sure gamers get something fresh with the newest installment, and this means ramping up the difficulty in order to make you feel that you are truly a soldier in an all out war, on Emergence Day. Here's what, Adrian Chmielarz, the creative director for People Can Fly had to say on Judgement:

"There is some DNA of our previous games in this, especially in the intensity of gameplay. We have more enemies on-screen, and you basically have these crazy gameplay moments where you feel like you've almost lost control over what's happening. Actually, you do lose control every now and then, and it's just pure chaos, but that's the beauty of war."
With an added focus on tension and difficulty the game will certainly provide a more refreshing visit to the Gears of War franchise. Playing through the campaign with overwhelming odds will certainly add to the feel that you are experiencing the chaos and brutality of Emergence Day. After all, it is a war, and war is hell. People Can Fly is aiming to make gamers fear the Locust hordes again, and I can't wait to witness the chaos.
