3. Use "Concentrate" For Slow-Motion Parries & Dodging

Turns out the "Concentration" mode you can unlock for bow & arrow combat is extremely useful in melee, too.

Though it's a bit weird to combine, go into the aim mode with L2, then hit R3 to slow time. Now just wait for a melee attack to come in and you'll have far more time to tap L1 for an accurate Parry. There's no delay coming out of the aiming mode into blocking/parrying.

Also, parries build your Resolve which can be traded in for health. If you're on the losing side of a bout, start slowing time and parrying - but don't kill your foe - to get Jin's health back up.
