Ghost Of Tsushima: 12 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

12. Observe Leader Enemies For Double Stance Points

Sucker Punch

Ghost of Tsushima does a masterful job of addressing the various tactics a samurai is supposed to be using; the code of honour Jin is raised to follow, versus what gets the job done.

Character Yuna is an early instigator of stealth kills and thief-like movements, and this carries across into how you gain points towards wider sword stances, too.

See, rather than fight people eye-to-eye in the name of honour, get close to golden armoured "Leaders" while hidden, hit R2 when the prompt to "Observe" appears and you'll get double stance points instead.

This lets you unlock the additional sword stances for regular combat at twice the rate of standard progression.

Plus, now you've observed an enemy's abilities, THEN you're free to tear them down with honour.
