God Of War: 20 Awesome Easter Eggs You Need To See

When the game first released, you would be easily forgiven to have missed this Easter Egg after completing the main story of God of War, however players have since discovered it and it’s become a big talking point regarding the potentials of a sequel.

After completing the game’s main narrative, players are then left with little to do, outside of running around the semi-open world map and finishing the collectibles hunt to achieve that sweet 100% completion status. However, the developers at Santa Monica hid a secret ending that is triggered after players return to the home of Kratos and Atreus, where the game first began.

A fade to black then reveals a “several years later” title card. Kratos and Atreus wake up to a violent storm with thunder and lightning fill the skies. Stepping outside the family home, a hooded man stands before them.

“Who are you?!” demands Kratos and from underneath the figure’s cloak, Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer, is revealed on his waist. The scene is cut short and transitions to Kratos and Atreus waking from what they believe to be a bad dream, or possibly a premonition.

It’s a fantastic scene to end on and in the world of Norse Mythology, there’s no doubt that Thor would evidently appear.
