God Of War: 9 New Things We Can't Wait To Do
7. Call In Support From Arteus
One of the biggest changes that's been made to the upcoming God of War is the addition of Kratos' son, Arteus.
Joining you for the entirety of your journey, the character has already become a controversial inclusion, having a significant role both in the narrative as well the gameplay itself. Fortunately though, by the sounds of things Arteus is essentially going to work the same way as Ellie did in The Last of Us or Elizabeth did in Bioshock: Infinite, providing you with support but never requiring you to constantly pay attention to them.
That's probably for the best, and it looks as though the character will provide a surprisingly welcome edge in combat. In fact, it's been confirmed that there's actually a dedicated button to control Arteus with, allowing players to call in arrow barrages if things get too hectic.
No doubt he'll gain a couple more abilities as the game goes on, but being able to use him to stun huge bosses or help whittle down a crowd already looks amazing, and will only add more tactical options to combat.
